⚠ Important Installation Notes

• The BMW must have OEM Bluetooth hands-free installed in order to use the factory microphone. Otherwise an external microphone is required (not included).

• If a factory CD changer is fitted, it must be disabled or bypassed during installation.

• BMW E-Series platforms:

If no factory CD changer is fitted, „NO coding is required”

MR12volt automatically activates the CD/MP3 option after successful installation.

• BMW F-Series platforms:

If no factory CD changer is fitted, „CD/MP3 coding is required”

MR12volt does not automatically activate the CD/MP3 option on F-Series vehicles.

Control Method

MR12volt is accessed through the factory media menu.

• Select CD in the media source menu to launch the MR12volt interface

• MR12volt simulates the factory CD changer

• Once launched, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are controlled through the BMW iDrive controller
